There is nothing more special than a piece of art made just for you. Let's work together to turn your cherished memory—a beloved pet, your first home, a favorite wedding bouquet, or a special landscape—into a timeless ink and watercolor painting.

Each custom piece is an original, hand-painted by me, Erin Simmons, with professional care and attention to detail. This isn't just a painting; it's your story, captured in art.

How It Works: 

• Choose Your Size*: Select your preferred size
• Send Your Photo**: After you check out, please REPLY to your order confirmation OR email me at erinmichal@themrssimmonsart.com with your confirmation number in the subject line. Attach the high-quality photo(s) you would like me to use for reference.
• Add Details: In your email, please let me know any specific details you want included or omitted (e.g., "Please include my dog's blue collar," or "Can you remove the car from the driveway?").
• I Paint!: I will get to work creating your custom piece. (Note: Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for the creation of your one-of-a-kind artwork, plus shipping time.)

What You Will Receive

This is more than just a painting; it's a finished, ready-to-gift piece of art. Your custom order includes:

• One Original Painting: Your custom scene, painted with professional-grade ink and lightfast watercolors, and signed on the back.

• Archival Paper: Painted on beautiful, heavyweight 140lb coldpress watercolor paper.

• Gallery-Ready Matting: Your artwork will be mounted on a colored mat, personally chosen by me to best complement the colors and style of your piece. 

• Protective Packaging: The matted artwork is placed in a protective clear sleeve and shipped to you flat in a rigid cardboard mailer to ensure it arrives safely.

* A Note on Matting & Framing:

Your custom artwork comes professionally mounted on a colored mat, making it look polished and ready for easy framing.

This means the final size of the product you receive will be larger than the artwork itself. Please use this guide for purchasing frames:

• 4x6 Artwork comes matted to fit a standard 5x7 frame.

• 5x7 Artwork comes matted to fit a standard 8x10 frame.

• 8x10 Artwork comes matted to fit a standard 11x14 frame.

** A Note on Photo Quality

To create a beautiful, detailed painting for you, I need a clear, high-quality reference photo. The quality of the painting is directly tied to the quality of the photo you send!

What to Send: 

• Please send photos in JPEG format!

• The original, full-size, un-cropped photo from your phone's camera roll or digital camera.

• A photo that is clear, in-focus, and well-lit. I need to be able to see details like eye color, fur direction, or small architectural features.

What to AVOID:

• Screenshots. These are very low-resolution and blurry.

• Photos saved from social media (Facebook, Instagram) or sent via text message (MMS). These are automatically shrunk and compressed, which loses all the important details.

A Quick Tip to Check Your Photo:

On your phone or computer, zoom in on the main subject (like your pet's face or your front door). If the details stay clear and sharp, it's a perfect photo! If it looks blurry, pixelated, or "blocky," I won't be able to see the details I need to paint.
